LynqPC LLC - Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 10, 2025

Introduction:

This Privacy Policy explains how LynqPC LLC (including its registered DBA LynqPC Services) – referred to as “LynqPC,” “we,” “us,” or “our” – collects, uses, and discloses personal information from users of our websites and services. LynqPC Services is a fictitious name registered under LynqPC LLC and is part of the same legal entity, sharing the same data handling practices. The LynqPC Services site (services.lynqpc.com, which redirects to lynqpc.com/services) operates on the same infrastructure as our main site, and all customer data is centrally stored and managed by LynqPC LLC. By using LynqPC’s websites or any related services (the “Service”), you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our sites. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable U.S. laws (such as the California Online Privacy Protection Act, CAN-SPAM Act, and California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA where applicable).

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using our Service. This may include:

  • Contact Data: Your name, email address, telephone number, and mailing/shipping address (needed for account registration, order processing, and delivery of products or services).

  • Account Credentials: If you create an account, we collect a username and password to secure your account.

  • Order Details: When you purchase a PC or other product, we collect information related to the transaction, such as the items ordered and any preferences or customizations. Payment card details are not collected or stored by us – they are handled securely by our third-party payment processors (see Third-Party Services below).

  • Service Requests: If you request a repair, consultation, or other service (for example, by filling out the “Book a Service” form on our LynqPC Services site), we collect the information you submit about your request. This includes your contact details (such as name, phone number, and email) and details about the requested service (e.g. the type of issue, device information, and any additional information you provide). We use this data to respond to and schedule your service request.

  • Communications: If you subscribe to our newsletter or alerts, or if you contact us (e.g. via email or a contact/quote form), we collect your contact details (like your email address or phone number) and any information you provide in your message. For instance, if you opt in to SMS updates, we will collect your phone number and record your consent to receive text messages.

Information Collected Automatically: Like most websites, we also collect certain information automatically when you interact with our site:

  • Usage Data: Our systems and analytics tools collect data such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and the dates/times of visits. This usage data helps us analyze how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are popular, how long users stay on pages) and diagnose technical issues.

  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like pixel tags or web beacons, including third-party analytics and advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel) to remember your preferences and track your activities on our site. For example, cookies allow the shopping cart to function and let us recognize you on return visits. Cookies and pixels may also be used to collect usage analytics and information about how you found our site or interacted with our content. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. However, if you disable cookies, some features of our Service (such as keeping items in your cart or maintaining your login) may not function properly.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how users find and use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser characteristics, and pages visited. This information is stored by Google and provided to us in aggregated form, helping us improve the website and our marketing. Google Analytics does not identify you personally to us. Nonetheless, Google’s use of the data it collects is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy discloses our use of analytics and tracking in compliance with legal requirements. If you wish, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.

Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel): We also utilize the Meta Pixel (formerly known as the Facebook Pixel) on our site for analytics and advertising purposes. The Meta Pixel is a snippet of code from Meta that tracks certain interactions on our site (for example, if you visit a specific page or submit a form) after you have engaged with our ads on Facebook or Instagram. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and reach audiences who are interested in our services. The information collected via the Meta Pixel (such as your IP address and the fact that you visited our site or took an action) is transmitted to Meta. We do not share your name, contact information, or any sensitive personal details through this Pixel; the data is used in aggregated or pseudonymous form to provide us with insights and to enable relevant ads. Meta’s handling of data collected via the Pixel is governed by Meta’s own privacy policies. You can learn more about how to opt out of personalized ads or tracking by Meta through your Facebook/Instagram privacy settings or via industry opt-out tools for interest-based advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To Process Orders and Provide Services: We use your personal data to process transactions and deliver the products or services you have requested. For example, we use your contact and shipping information to fulfill orders and deliver your purchased PC, or to schedule and provide a requested repair/service. Payment information (handled by third-party processors) is used solely to charge you for your orders or services.

  • Account Management: If you create an account, we use your information to maintain and administer your account (e.g. storing your order and service history, preferences, and enabling you to log in securely).

  • Communication: We may contact you to send service-related communications. This includes confirmations and updates about your orders or service appointments, responses to your customer service inquiries, and important notices about your account or transactions (via email, phone, or text message as appropriate). For example, we might email or call you if there is an issue with your order, or send you an SMS appointment reminder or shipping notification if you opted to receive text updates.

  • Marketing and Newsletters: With your consent (where required by law), we use your contact information to send you marketing communications. This may include email newsletters, product updates, special offers, and promotions about LynqPC products and services that might interest you. We may also send occasional marketing text messages to your mobile phone if you have expressly opted in to receive SMS marketing. You have the right to opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time (see Your Rights and Choices below). We will not send you promotional communications if you have opted out or if you do not provide the necessary consent.

  • Improvement and Analytics: We use data (including automatically collected usage data and any feedback you provide) to understand user behavior and preferences in order to improve our website, products, and services. For instance, we analyze which pages or products are most interesting to users to inform our offerings and website design. We also use analytics data to evaluate the performance of our marketing campaigns and to enhance user experience and site functionality.

  • Security and Fraud Prevention: We may use information (like IP addresses, device information, and account activity) to monitor for and prevent fraud, spam, misuse of our services, unauthorized access, or other harmful or illegal activities. This helps us protect the security and integrity of our Service and safeguard our users.

  • Legal Obligations: We process personal data as necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations. For example, we maintain transaction records for tax and accounting purposes, and we may disclose information in response to lawful requests by public authorities (such as subpoenas or court orders) or to meet other legal requirements.

  • Other Legitimate Business Purposes: We may use your information for other legitimate purposes, such as to conduct internal research and development, administer surveys or promotional events, or to notify you of updates to our terms or policies. We will only engage in these uses in ways that are compatible with the original purpose for which the data was collected or otherwise in accordance with your consent.

How We Share or Disclose Information

We understand the importance of your personal information and share it only as necessary to operate our business and provide our services, as described below. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. The situations in which we may share data include:

  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party companies who perform services on our behalf and need access to personal data to do their jobs. These trusted vendors help us run our operations smoothly. This includes:

    • Payment Processors: As noted, we use third-party payment services (currently Stripe and PayPal) to handle online payments. When you make a purchase, your payment card details are transmitted directly to these processors. LynqPC does not see, collect, or store your full credit card number. Payment processors may receive your name, billing/shipping address, and purchase amount as needed to process the transaction. These companies are PCI-DSS compliant and employ robust security measures to protect your payment data. (You can review Stripe’s and PayPal’s privacy policies on their websites for more information about their data practices.)

    • Website Hosting and Platform: Our website is built on and hosted by third-party platform services (for example, we use Squarespace for our site infrastructure). As a result, information you provide through our website is stored on those platforms’ servers. They process data on our behalf to enable website functionality, e-commerce features, and data storage. We require that such providers use personal data only as necessary to provide their services to us and that they protect your information.

    • Analytics and Advertising Partners: As described above, we use analytics and tracking tools like Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to collect usage statistics and measure the effectiveness of advertising. These partners act as our service providers for analyzing site traffic and user interactions. For instance, Google may receive identifiers like your IP address or cookie ID for analytics purposes, and Meta may receive similar information via the Meta Pixel for advertising analytics. These providers are obligated to handle personal data according to our instructions and their own privacy terms. We do not disclose your identity (such as your name or email) to these analytics partners, and any data shared is typically in aggregated or pseudonymized form.

    • Email and Communication Services: We use third-party services to help manage our communications. For example, we rely on an email service provider (such as Microsoft 365 Outlook or a marketing email platform) to send out newsletters and important notices. These providers have access to your email address (and any name or contact info needed) to send communications on our behalf. They are not permitted to use your data for any purpose other than to send communications as instructed by us.

    • Form and Booking Services: We use a third-party form tool (currently Tally) to power certain forms on our site, such as the “Book a Service” request form for LynqPC Services. When you fill out and submit these forms, the information you provide (e.g. your contact details and service request information) is collected by Tally on our behalf and then transmitted securely to us. Tally acts as our service provider for handling form submissions and is contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide form functionality for us.

    • Shipping and Logistics Partners: If we ship physical products or parts to you, we share the necessary information with shipping or delivery companies (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx) to fulfill your order or service. This typically includes your name and shipping address, and in some cases your phone number or email to provide delivery updates or arrange delivery. These partners are given only the information required to complete their service.

  • Business Transfers: If we consider or undergo a business transaction like a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all of our business assets, personal information may be disclosed to potential or actual purchasers (and their professional advisors) as part of due diligence or transferred as a business asset in the transaction. In such cases, we would seek to ensure that the recipient of any personal data commits to the same privacy obligations we have made in this Privacy Policy.

  • Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose personal information when required to do so by law, or when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation or valid government request; (b) enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of LynqPC, our customers, or others; (d) investigate or help prevent wrongdoing or security issues; or (e) protect against legal liability. In short, if authorities lawfully require us to share data, or if disclosure is necessary to protect legal rights or safety, we will do so to the extent required or permitted by law.

  • Affiliates and DBAs: LynqPC Services is a registered fictitious name (DBA) of LynqPC LLC and is not a separate legal entity. We may share personal information internally within LynqPC LLC (including between the LynqPC and LynqPC Services parts of our business) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If in the future LynqPC LLC expands to include any affiliate or subsidiary companies under common ownership, we may also share personal information with those affiliates. Any such affiliates would be required to honor the commitments of this Privacy Policy. (As of the date of this Policy, LynqPC Services is our only DBA and we have no separate affiliate or subsidiary companies.)

  • With Your Consent: In situations where you have explicitly consented to a particular type of data sharing, we will share your information accordingly. For example, if you agree to let us feature your customer testimonial on our website, we may display it along with your name or other attribution you provided (see Testimonials and Reviews below). You are free to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting us.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not share or sell data about your SMS/text message opt-in (such as your phone number or consent to receive texts) with any third party for their own purposes. All third-party service providers we engage are contractually bound to keep personal data secure and to use it only for the services we have requested, in compliance with this Policy.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

As noted above, LynqPC and our partners use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website. Cookies are small text files placed on your device which allow us to remember your actions or preferences over time. We use cookies and related technologies for several reasons:

  • Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for our site’s core functionality, such as keeping you logged in to your account or remembering the items in your shopping cart. Without these, key features of our website (especially e-commerce functions) may not work properly. Because they are essential, you cannot opt out of essential cookies if you wish to use our online store and services.

  • Preference Cookies: These cookies remember your choices and settings (like language or region preferences) to provide a more personalized experience and convenience. For example, preference cookies can save you from re-entering information each time you visit by recalling your previous selections.

  • Analytics Cookies: These cookies are set by our analytics partners (like Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) and help us collect information about site traffic and user interactions. For example, analytics cookies tell us which pages are visited most often, how users navigate through the site, or if users encounter errors on certain pages. The data collected is aggregated and helps us improve site performance, content, and design.

  • Advertising Cookies/Pixels: We use certain third-party cookies and pixel technologies for advertising and re-targeting purposes. For instance, the Meta Pixel on our site may set cookies that enable us to show you relevant ads on Facebook/Instagram or measure the results of our ad campaigns. These advertising technologies track your interactions on our site (such as pages viewed or actions taken) and allow us to reach you with tailored content on third-party platforms. We do not provide personally identifiable information (like your name or email) to advertisers; however, these third parties may collect information through cookies/pixels that is associated with your profile on their platform. Where required by law, we will request your consent before enabling advertising cookies. You can typically opt out of targeted advertising by adjusting your preferences on the respective third-party platforms (for example, through Facebook’s ad settings) or by using industry opt-out tools.

Your Choices for Cookies: When you first visit our site, you may see a cookies notice or banner (if required by applicable law). By clicking “Accept” or continuing to use our site without adjusting settings, you consent to the placement of cookies as described in this Policy. You have the ability to control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to block cookies or to alert you before a cookie is stored on your device. You can also delete cookies that have already been set. Please note, however, that disabling or removing certain cookies can negatively impact your experience on our site. For example, if cookies are disabled, items might not remain in your cart, or you may need to log in again on each visit.

“Do Not Track” Signals: Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that signals your preference not to have your online activities tracked across different websites. Currently, there is no broadly accepted industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals. Accordingly, our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals or similar mechanisms at this time. If a uniform standard for DNT is established in the future, we will update our practices and this Policy as appropriate. Remember, you can still exercise control over cookies and other trackers as described above, regardless of the DNT setting.

Email, Text Messaging, and Marketing Communications

We comply with applicable laws regarding commercial communications – for example, the CAN-SPAM Act for email and relevant regulations for SMS text messaging. If you join our email mailing list or otherwise provide consent to receive marketing messages, we will send you newsletters and emails about new products, special deals, and other updates. Likewise, if you opted in to receive SMS text messages, we may send occasional promotional texts or important service-related texts (e.g., appointment reminders or order status updates). You have the right to control these communications:

  • Email Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of our emails. Once you unsubscribe, we will remove you from the marketing mailing list. (Please note that you may still receive transactional emails necessary for services you’ve requested, such as order confirmations or shipping notices, as these are not marketing messages.)

  • SMS Opt-Out: To stop receiving marketing or promotional text messages, you can follow the opt-out instructions provided in the text (for example, replying “STOP” to any SMS from us). You may also contact us directly (see Contact Us below) to request removal of your phone number from our text messaging list. We will process your opt-out request as soon as reasonably possible. Please be aware that you may receive a confirmation text of your opt-out, and standard message/data rates may apply to any texts sent or received. (Note: Even if you opt out of marketing texts, we may still send you non-promotional texts when necessary for an order or service you’ve requested – such as a delivery notification or appointment confirmation – as permitted by law.)

  • Postal Mail Opt-Out: We do not currently send marketing materials via postal mail. If this changes in the future, we will provide a method for you to opt out of physical mailings as well.

Please note that if you opt out of marketing emails or texts, we may still need to contact you with non-promotional communications. For example, we may email or call you about important information regarding a purchase you made, an upcoming service appointment, or an issue related to your account (such as a security alert or billing matter), even if you have unsubscribed from general marketing messages. We will only send such communications as allowed by law, and we will limit them to what is necessary for customer service or legal reasons.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect and hold from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. We implement industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit (for example, our website uses SSL/TLS to secure data entered into forms) and a combination of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. For instance, any payment information you enter on our site is transmitted securely to our payment processors (Stripe or PayPal) using encryption, and we never store your full credit card details on our servers. We also limit access to personal data to those employees and contractors who need the information to perform their job duties, and they are subject to strict confidentiality obligations.

Despite these precautions, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. For example, email communications you send us may not be fully secure if your email service does not support encryption. You should take steps to protect your own information as well: choose a strong, unique password for your LynqPC account and keep it confidential, and remember to log out of your account after using a shared or public device. If you believe that your interaction with us or your personal data may no longer be secure (for instance, if you suspect that your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. For example, we keep information related to your purchases and services for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services, and thereafter for legitimate business records (such as accounting, product warranty, or tax purposes) or to comply with legal requirements. We also retain personal data as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer have a legitimate business need or legal requirement to retain your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it. (For example, usage logs might be kept for a shorter period unless needed for security, whereas order records might be kept longer for warranty or tax reasons.) Any aggregated data that cannot be linked to an individual may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask that we correct or update any inaccuracies. Many basic account details can be reviewed and updated by logging into your LynqPC account (for example, you can edit your profile information or change your saved contact/shipping details). If you need assistance or wish to request a comprehensive copy of the data we have on file for you, you may contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. We will respond to legitimate requests for access or correction as required by applicable law. To protect your privacy and security, we may take steps to verify your identity before providing access or making corrections.

Deletion (Right to Erasure): You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for legal, security, or internal business reasons. For example, we cannot delete information associated with a completed transaction that we are required to keep for financial reporting or tax purposes, or information needed to enforce our rights or comply with our legal obligations. However, if you request deletion of your account or personal data, we will make reasonable efforts to remove your information from our active systems in accordance with applicable laws. Some residual data may remain in backup archives, but it will remain protected as required by law and this Policy.

California Privacy Rights: This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and other applicable state privacy laws. If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), to the extent it applies to our business. These rights may include the right to know what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and whether we sell or “share” it; the right to request deletion of your personal data; the right to opt out of the sale or certain sharing of personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. While LynqPC does not sell personal information and currently does not share personal information in a manner that triggers a “Do Not Sell or Share” requirement, we will honor applicable requests from California residents to exercise their rights. (Additionally, our business may not meet the CCPA/CPRA’s thresholds for mandatory compliance, but we strive to be transparent and responsive to privacy concerns regardless.) California customers can contact us to inquire about their personal data or to exercise any available rights. Furthermore, California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) allows California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for those parties’ direct marketing purposes. LynqPC’s policy is that we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing use without your consent. If you have questions or requests regarding your California privacy rights, you may contact us as described below.

Opting Out of Marketing: As described above, you can opt out of email marketing by using the unsubscribe link in our emails. To opt out of text messages, reply “STOP” to a message or contact us to remove your number. We will process opt-out requests as soon as possible. Even after you opt out of marketing messages, you may still receive essential communications from us (such as notifications about an ongoing service or a recent purchase).

Do Not Track: As noted in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals in browsers due to the lack of an industry standard. However, you can use other methods described in this Policy to control advertising and analytics cookies.

Non-U.S. Users: Our website and services are intended for customers in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the U.S., please be aware that any information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States (and possibly other countries where our service providers operate). By using our site or providing us with personal information, you acknowledge that your data will be handled as described in this Policy and will be subject to U.S. laws. While the data protection laws of other countries (such as the European Union’s GDPR) may differ from U.S. laws, we will take steps to protect your privacy as described in this Policy. That said, if you are in a jurisdiction like the EU, please understand that LynqPC is a small U.S.-based business not actively offering services in your region, and we may not be fully compliant with all aspects of foreign privacy laws. We primarily target customers in the U.S. (“For U.S. Audiences Only”). Non-U.S. users should only use our services if they are comfortable with this transfer and the privacy practices described here.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, do not attempt to register on our site or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we might have information from or about a child under 13, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

We also do not knowingly market or sell products/services to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to create an account or make a purchase on LynqPC. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may use our site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, links to external resources or social media platforms where we have a presence). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to a site that is not controlled by LynqPC. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of those external sites. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site or service that you visit or interact with.

Testimonials and Reviews

From time to time, we may feature customer testimonials, reviews, or endorsements on our website or in our marketing materials. This could include feedback that you provide directly to us (for example, through a survey or via email), or quotes from reviews you have posted on third-party platforms (such as social media or review websites). When we display a testimonial, we may include the customer’s name (often just first name and last initial) and/or general location, as provided to us. By providing a testimonial or review to LynqPC, you consent to our use of your feedback on our site and in other promotional contexts, along with your name or username as you provide it. If we wish to feature a comment that you made publicly on a third-party site, we will wherever possible seek your permission. If you see your own testimonial or review on our site and would like it removed or anonymized, please contact us and we will promptly accommodate your request.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, operational needs, or for legal reasons. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we may also notify you by email or by means of a prominent notice on our website prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
